Mobile Experiential Cinema: Kulturpark
This iteration of Mobile Experiential Cinema premiered during the opening of the Kulturpark project in Panterwald, Berlin. Audience members were guided around the perimeter of the now abandoned former GDR amusement park that lives deep in the woods of Treptower park. We walked as a group and occasionally stopped to project a short film on to a specific location. Each film segments contain appropriated videos dealing with amusement that are re-contextualized with audio from heterotopic spaces like nursing homes, evacuation plans, and airlines. While the films played, I narrated aloud a monologue based on the original appropriated audio that is paired with video.
